Another holiday already.. After the last few months at home we were debating if we would even get to go on this holiday. We have been planing it for ages but have had lots of pet illness. Luckily for us my parents are going to hold down the fort and look after everyone for us.
This trip we are starting with a few days in Brunei. A small country on the island of Borneo. It has been labelled as the most boring country in the world by a couple of youtubers so of course I told Anthony that we needed to go there. It also happens to have a great airline that connects in with most of Asia so doing a stopover here was going to be easy.
We jumped on a Royal Brunei Airline flight from Melbourne. It was pretty easy and stressfree. We listened to an audiobook formost of the trip.
There were some awesome views out of the plane as we flew over the Australian outback, Borneo rainforest and Indonesia’s islands.
When we arrived we had to line up to get our visa on arrival. It took forever! But at last we were in Brunei our 18th country I will give you a couple of Brunei facts:
Brunei is a muslim country and is ruled by the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah he is actually the longest serving monarch in the world after Queen Elizabeth past away.
Brunei has no tax, free health care and education.
Brunei makes the majority of its money from Oil and getting petrol in Brunei is cheaper then getting water.
Our Hotel picked us up from the airport and before we knew it we were at the hotel and getting some delicious food for dinner.
Now it is time for sleep so we can explore this Sultanate tommorrow!
