We both hit the run down and slightly sick part of travel today which means it took a very very long time to get going. We finally got ourselves moving at lunch time and headed down to a little resturant near our hotel.
We were about to head back to the hotel to get our wet weather gear when a storm hit and the rain came bucketing down. We thought we would wait til it got a bit lighter. It took a while and then we had to walk back through the huge puddles that had formed.
We decided not to waste the afternoon and took off in the rain to the beach to explore Mirissa. The beach area is beautiful. I got so wet I should have just worn my bathers down. We walked all the way down Main Beach, past Parrot Rock and down through Turtle beach. It was all beautiful.
We spent the rest of the night resting, packing and doing adult tasks like doing out washing.
