We woke up to the view of Sydney which meant we had to get off the ship. It was a very organised exit sysytem and before we knew it we were standing in the middle of Sydney CBD,

We went for a stroll along the waterfront and dropped off our bags in a luggage storage place. Which turned out to be inside a resturant. Weird but at least we didn’t need to hold our bags. We decided to jump onto a ferry as Anthony wanted to a round trip on a ferry. We decided to do the Manly Ferry as it is meant to have the best views.
We didn’t see much on the way to Manly as we got talking to another couple about travel. Our plan was to do a round trip, but at the last minute we realised we have never actually been to Manly so we changed our plans and went off to explore.
We walked down the main street of Manly and had a bit of a shop and a look around. We made it down to the beach, which was stunning. It was nice to just meander all through Manly.

On our way back Manly was setting up its weekend Market. It had lots of great stuff. Anthony found his favourite jerky he has ever had. He loved it so much he went back for seconds.

After markets and exploring Manly we decided it was time to head back to the CBD. We jumped on another ferry and this time enjoyed the views.
I wanted to visit Hyde Park Barracks as it is a UNESCO World hertitage site so we made our way over there. The Hyde Park Barracks is a former barracks, hospital, convict accommodation, mint and courthouse riginally constructed between 1817 and 1819 as a brick building and compound to house convict men and boys. It was free to look around and worth a drop in.
On the way back we walked through Hyde Park and got to see everyones favourite animals the Bin Chicken.
We finished our time in Sydney by heading to the Rocks Markets which are on every weekend. The markets and the rocks area in general is really great to walk around. The market shops sell lots of cool stuff and we got talking to a few of the sellers. It was such a good day just exploring Sydney.

Then we flew home to rain and freezing weather. Thanks Melbourne! It was so nice to have a week away.
